Ronald Brammer joined the board in January and has served as the President for Missoula Youth Rugby since shortly after its founding. He believes strongly in the dual nature of rugby competition. Rugby players work to become better than their competition while simultaneously working to make them better. Ron is excited for this opportunity to grow the game we all love.
Ronald teaches at the Missoula Head Start and has taught in five states and ages 2 – 14. Is a graduate of Stony Brook University where he achieved bachelors in psychology, Dowling College where he earned masters’ of science in early childhood education and childhood education, and the University of Montana where he attained a master’s in business administration.
Ron first touched a rugby ball in 2001, during his freshman year in college. Prior to this he was a three season athlete since an early age. However after his first rugby game, he never looked back. As a member of Stony Brook University Rugby Football Club, he served as Vice President and Captain. Ron has acted as an assistant coach for the Missoula Mud-Dogs for 7 years, and head coach for the Garden City Troll’s for 2 years. He is still an active player, referee and coach within and around Montana.
